I use a spreadsheet for my bookkeeping, can you still review it?
Yes, with some limitations. I can review spreadsheet-based books, but the insights will be more limited than with dedicated bookkeeping software. I'll focus on categorization accuracy, separation of business vs. personal expenses, and whether your income/expense tracking makes sense.
Will you share what you found with my accountant?
No, this review is for solely for you. What you choose to share with your accountant (or anyone else) is entirely up to you.
What happens after I get the report? Do I have to hire you for ongoing bookkeeping?
No, this is a standalone service. Some clients take the report and fix everything themselves. Some come back later for a follow-up review. Some decide they're ready to hire ongoing help. There's zero pressure, it's entirely up to you.
Can you review my books if I'm behind or just starting out?
Yes, as long as you have at least 3 months of transactions to review. If you're brand new (less than 3 months), I recommend waiting until you have a full quarter of activity so I can spot patterns and give you actionable feedback. If you're new and feeling stuck, consider the DIY Training
What if I already work with a bookkeeper part-time?
That's completely fine. Some clients use this review as a second opinion or quality check on work their bookkeeper is doing.
